Examiners are selected on the basis of their appropriate qualifications which include teaching and performance experience to an advanced level and familiarity with the AMEB system.

Each examiner is a specialist in the field of their endeavour so that if a candidate is seeking an examination in a particular instrument or in speech and drama then an examiner qualified to examine in that category will be allocated wherever possible.

Examiners are required to have a current Working with Children Check or current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
